Meditation is not a quick fix, nor a universal cure for illness or life’s challenges. In fact, reckless use of meditation techniques may even be counterproductive. However, when practiced with awareness and guidance, meditation can be a valuable tool for long-term personal development. This workshop will increase your theoretical understanding and practical know-how of meditation, and help you develop a firm and healthy daily meditation routine, from beginners to advanced level. Instructors: Merete Brandt & Roger Strand Date: 12-13 April Time: 10.00-15.30 both days In this two-day workshop we explore the value of meditation in self-care, personal development, and growth. We provide you with a careful introduction to meditative practice. We focus on the basics of different types of meditation, as well as the ancient theories that underpin them. The workshop fee includes individual advice and a follow-up conversation to help you tailor your own meditation routine. We have called this a 'Mixed Meditation' workshop because we blend: - Different approaches to meditation, including yoga and zen traditions - A variety of techniques - Theory and practice - Silent and sound-based meditation - Stillness and movement, showing how meditation can be integrated into both seated and dynamic practices For more information and detailed programme: https://www.kundaliniyogabergen.no/workshop
