Vinddalen - Flørli

Svakt stigende gjennom juv og daler i furuskog og langs en gammel anleggsvei leder stien til høylandet over tregrensa. Så går veien nedover igjen helt til Lysefjorden og Flørli. Det er bare å nyte utsikten hele veien ned!

The most convenient start of your Lysefjord adventure is from the mountain valley of Vinddalen, if you can make it there. Gently rising from the pinewoods, through gorges and along an old construction road until you reach the highlands above the tree line. After the crossing you will gently descend to

Flørli

and the fjord, enjoying magnificent vistas along the way.

OPTION 1

If you don't get the transport sorted all the way into Vinddalen, it is possible to start from Skrøyla (Fossmork) and follow the marked route to Skåpet and onwards to Flørli. This options also requires a lift or taxi from Forsand to Skrøyla. If you got no access to wheels, you may walk the distance from Forsand via Haukali and along Eidavatnet, partly on paved road, partly marked trails. If you want to split the distance in two, you may spend the night at the unique Skapet cabins.

OPTION 2

A detour to the impressive, but less famous,Fossjuvetis rewarding if you have some time to spare before heading to Flørli. Start from Vinddalen, by the cabin a few hundred meters below the carpark where the trail to Flørli starts. A 5 hours return trip from Vinddalen takes you past Fossjuvet and into the beautiful Røssdalen.
