Turbeskrivelse

This is a route suitable for familes, younger children, adults and fit seniors who are used to walking or hiking.

Gvepseborg

It takes about 4 minutes with the cablecar (Krossobanen) up to Gvepseborg. There is a cafe at the top with a fantastic view and possibility to sit inside and outside.

Hike

The first section is stepped with a small space on the side of the steps to ride a bike. Terrain is rather steep to cycle. After about 1,5km is flattens out more or less and the path is a rocky in most sections (not suitable for cycling). There are many swampy and muddy areas on the way, good hiking shoes or some waterproofing are recommended.

Helberghytte

Very clean, well stocked cabin.

sleeps 12 in the main cabin and 4 in the ´sikringsbua´which is a smaller cabin with firewood

stock and adjoined outside eco-toilet.

There is possibility to tent nearby. Drinking water is from a stream 20m from the cabin.

When I was there it seemed very social and friendly as many people would stop by on their hike

to have a break and take in the view.

Its possible for adults to do this trip within 2 hours, or perhaps 5 hours with small children.
