80th Annual Slow Melody

Join us for a musical celebration as the Dalmellington Band hosts its 80th Annual Slow Melody Competition! This much-anticipated event will showcase the exceptional talents of the Brass Academy and Senior Band, as they compete for this year’s coveted top prizes.

The competition will culminate with a short entertainment concert from the Senior Band before the eagerly awaited results are revealed.

This year, we are thrilled to welcome the distinguished Sheona White as our guest adjudicator and soloist. A luminary in the brass band world, Sheona White has performed with many of the world's premier bands including Brighouse and Rastrick Band, YBS Band, Black Dyke Band, and Foden's Richardson Band. A celebrated horn tutor and a graduate with Distinction in Performance from the University of Salford, her expertise and artistry promise to elevate the event to new heights.
