Detaljer
This year’s Upper Eighth Theatre Studies students perform their devised pieces, inspired by the work of Théâtre de Complicité. One piece explores the concept of honour through the story of Hiroo Onoda, a Japanese lieutenant who refused to stand down until a superior gave him word to. This commitment to fighting for his country resulted in him remaining in hiding, engaging in Guerrilla warfare, until 1974. The second piece explores the relationship between power and blind trust through the story of Pinocchio. This version, which plays on the macabre features of the original, looks at how people can be manipulated to enact immoral actions.
