Aberdeen Chamber Music Concert: Hugh Mackay, Cello & Junyan Chen, Piano

Scottish cellist Hugh Mackay is a versatile young musician involved in solo performance, chamber music, early music, and orchestral work. Shanghai-born pianist Junyan Chen has won both the Vigo and Osaka International Piano Competitions. While studying at the Royal Academy in London, Hugh won 1st prize in the Nancy Nuttall Cello Sonata Competition with Junyan as his accompanist. The two are giving recitals in many different venues here and abroad.

The programme will include works by Debussy, Shostakovich, Fazil Say and Rachmaninov.
