Academy Late

Join us for the fifth edition of Academy Late, our vibrant closing celebration for New Contemporaries. This is a chance to experience the exhibition after dark and enjoy an unforgettable night of live music, powerful performances and artwork from Scotland’s boldest rising stars.

Academy Late is once again hosted by the fabulous Mystika Glamoor, we’ll have music by xivro and performances New Contemporaries Adam Lock, Ellis Ludlow, Amy Anna Graham and Ahed Alameri. Our friends and media partner The Skinny are coming along, plus there’s free welcome drinks courtesy of Heverlee and chai by Dishoom.

Dress Code: Surrealist Twenties Our dreamlike take on the Roaring 20s. Think flapper dresses and pinstripe suits with an avant-garde twist on Art Deco. The more otherworldly the patterns and accessories, the better! Prizes and bragging rights for the most fantastically dressed.
