Ant Law And Chris Montague Quartet

This show marks the debut of a new project led by two of the UK’s most distinctive and exciting guitarists with original material that reflects a diverse set of contemporary influences. Ant Law has shown himself to possess not just a virtuosic capability on the guitar, but also an inquisitive, multi-faceted musical sensibility that has brought him international attention. Described as a ‘gamechanger’ by the Guardian, Ant’s own critically acclaimed albums have showcased his unique approach to the instrument. Fellow guitarist Chris Montague is also widely recognised for his skills as a composer and performer. A prize winner at the Montreux Jazz Festival International Guitar Competition, he is a founder member of the highly acclaimed jazz trio Troyka where he has gained a reputation for his distinctive, freewheeling style. His music was the subject of a feature on BBC Radio 3 and as a composer, he’s received commissions from a variety of prestigious organisations. With the addition of bassist Conor Chaplin & drummer Jamie Murray this is a world-class collaboration, not to be missed.
