Discover the story of the building of City Hall and adjacent Memorial Gardens, which were both completed in 1938. View the Art Deco sculptures and the series of bronze plaques, depicting Norwich industries and history, on a walk round the exterior of the building. Then head to John Lewis to see the 1948 Streamline Moderne inspired store, before seeing photographs of Garland's 1927 store (destroyed in a fire in 1970) and view a 1930s Streamline Moderne inspired building at the top of London Street (now home to Gonzos Tea Room). The tour will finish at The Drawing Rooms on Pottergate, an Art Deco themed cocktail bar in the former Morning Star pub (1937). Tour will be approximately 1.45 hours
