Artum Presents....DJ SLIMZEE! Godfather of Grime, Rinse FM co-founder and Pirate Radio Pioneer DJ SLIMZEE hits Artum on Friday 20th September for a big night of Grime, UKG, Bass & more! Co-founding Rinse FM way back in 1994 Slimzee was one of the first DJs to start introducing the dark new music coming out of the UK garage scene into his dj sets, hosting a Sunday afternoon grime show which would regularly showcase some of the genre's best MCs. Many artists who featured on Slimzee's pirate radio shows went on to have mainstream success, with Slimzee himself receiving a golden disc in recognition of his contribution to Dizzee Rascals legendary "Boy in Da Corner" album! Dj Slimzee will be spinning a special Godfather of Grime set, spanning the sounds of UKG, Grime and beyond with support coming from London multi-genre super selector Saint Ludo and Birminghams very own C4 on hosting duties!
