Bac Theatre Studies Devised

The BAC Theatre Studies students will perform their own original devised work in the style of Verbatim in which the script is created from the precise words spoken by real people. This form of documentary theatre helped revive political theatre in the 21st Century and our students have taken inspiration from the current affairs they feel personally connected to.

Developing their ideas from these stimuli they have followed their own conventions and styles with which to tell these stories, influenced by two leading Verbatim practitioners; Alecky Blythe and Philip Osment.

This promises to be an engaging night of contemporary theatre which will dramatise powerful stories in a compelling way.
