Bach to the Future! - music for choir, piano & violin

With comfortable seating it's perfect for listening to an evening of glorious choral music performed by one of the areas leading chamber choirs.

The renowned violinist Steve Bingham [https://stevebingham.co.uk/] joins us in a performance of Bachs choral masterpiece Jesu, meine Freude , interspersed with movements from his partitas and sonatas for solo violin. Other choral works will include Aaron Coplands much-loved Old American Songs, Eric Whitacres [https://ericwhitacre.com/] beautiful Five Hebrew Love Songs and Morten Lauridsen's [https://www.mortenlauridsen.net/]sublime Sure on this shining night .

As a classical violinist, Steve has performed worldwide as a soloist and orchestral leader with several leading ensembles, but alongside this he has developed a reputation for performing ground-breaking works which combine solo violin music with a wide variety of electronics and live-looping technology.
