Beau + Josephine Davies Trio + Jury Service

Eclectic triple bill of local acts headlined by post-punk trio BEAU, with sax-led jazz from Josephine Davies' trio and electro improv from Jury Service in support.

BEAU are Otti Albietz (guitar, voice), Haydn Ackerley (bass, voice) and Colden Drystone (voice, drums). All play in other bands but BEAU is the place where they are most at play. Euphoric audience responses have included "They're like a punk Beatles", "They're like Wet Leg but men, and there's three of them" and "The best live band since The Minutemen".

Now becoming equally known as a composer, as a saxophonist Josephine Davies is recognised for her melodic focus, versatility and unique style which has been described as 'consistently inventive' (Jazzwise Magazine),' strong and authoritative' (The JazzMann) and 'with winning immediacy' (MOJO Magazine).

​Jury Service (Keith Rodway and Simon Charterton) will explore their take on improvised ambient electronic music with special guest trumpeter/flautist Hutch Demouilpied. Expect ambient drones, percussive grooves, meditative mantras and industrial soundscapes but not necessarily in that order.
