Bluebell Swing

Bluebell Swing's Art Deco logo ushers in a look back to the 20s/30s and 40s - three decades in which Swing Jazz became the hallmark of all that was good in the world of music.

Fast forward to 2025 and one of the local bands keeping the genre very much alive is Bluebell Swing - a band bursting with great verve and energy - that maintains the punchy rhythm of twin guitars, effortless trumpet and fabulous vocals, so redolent of the Golden Age of Jazz.

Maria Townsley is blessed with a really polished vocal style that reflects the golden age of this wonderful music and she is joined by Chris Campbell and Iain McNally on Guitars, Matt Curtis on double bass and Malcolm Strachan on trumpet.
