Captain Corelli's Mandolin

adapted by Rona Monro from the novel by Louis de Bernieres, and directed by Eleanor Marsden 1940, the Greek island of Kefalonia is catapulted into World War II. Despite loathing the occupying Italians, local girl, Pelagia, is drawn to the charismatic Captain Corelli. As boundaries blue between friend and foe, the war prompts everyone to question their loyalties, their ambitions and the price of freedom.
