Undoubtedly a highlight of our autumn 2024 season will be the opportunity to hear all five of Beethoven's Cello Sonatas, which span the whole of his compositional life, performed in one evening by Christian Elliott and Robin Green. From the classical vigour of his Op.5, through the lyrical expression of the A major Op.69, and culminating in the groundbreaking Op.102, this concert will offer a unique chance to experience the trajectory of Beethoven's musical development.
