Decommissioned

Two young adults are reunited in the Welsh village where they grew up. Gwen is a researcher in climate policy. Elis is a teacher and youth worker. Elis’s job is to look after children, and comfort them in a world that is beginning to change. Gwen’s is to tell the truth about how that change will impact everything they know and love.

Decommissioned is a new play about what it means to live in the shadow of impending disaster – and how it feels when the only place that you call home is under threat. It’s a play about childhood, community and resilience. It’s a love story, and a story of finding hope in a world in slow collapse.
