Join us at historic Samlesbury Hall, where solo performer David Bramwell-Norris becomes Charles Dickens to present two live story readings, along with a 2-course buffet style meal in a very special theatre and dining event. Charles Dickens stayed overnight at Samlesbury Hall in 1867 and it has been suggested that perhaps the manor house provided him with inspiration for his stories David Bramwell-Norris is a performer and postdoctoral researcher specialising in sensory performance and curated fantastical encounters.Dinner with Dickens will present two stories including To Be Read at Dusk in which a gathering outside a convent in the Swiss Alps turns to talk of ghosts and a woman obsessed with a mysterious face.Followed by The Seven Poor Travellers in which six needy travellers may take refuge in a hostel with food and entertainment.
