Discovering Hartwood

Discovering Hartwood is part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival. An open day of exhibitions, films, storytelling and music exploring the history of Hartwood Psychiatric Hospital performances in the neighbouring town of Shotts.

The event will feature the Friends of Hartwood Paupers Cemetery who tend the graves of patients in the grounds of the abandoned hospital, and delve into the lives of patients and staff.
