Double Standards

Double Standards is a Belfast-based jazz quartet established in early 2024 by tenor saxophonist Laura McGrath and guitarist Mateusz J. Chmielewski, joined by Ken Murphy on double bass and Matthew McCrudden on drums. Drawing inspiration from 1950s straight-ahead jazz giants such as Sonny Rollins, Dexter Gordon, Phil Woods, and guitar greats like Barney Kessel, Joe Pass, Les Paul, and Hank Garland to name a few. Their repertoire typically includes ballads, blues, and Latin flavours delivered in an approachable fashion. ​ Book early and arrive early to secure your spot, asseating is tight when sold out.
