Freckfest presents Juniper Three

International vocal trio Juniper Three bring their gorgeous harmonies to the HAC for a return visit on 18th January. The trio first appeared at HAC - when their stunning singing featured prominently - as backing vocalists for Benny Gallagher in his two sold out shows in October 2022. " Composed of Aimee Penman, Laura Hill and Outi Karhu, Juniper Three hails from Scotland, the North East of England and Finland respectively, with Scotland as their chosen home. They credit the country’s rich cultural heritage and musical networks with finding each other and their unique sound. The group writes and arranges their songs as a collective, creating a tapestry of genres in a lush, seamless interweaving of voices, and embracing the ethos of three solo singers coming together to share the lead. As well as their own acclaimed material, for this concert the trio will be performing an eclectic selection of hand-picked covers from Scottish songwriters. Juniper Three’s stripped-back debut EP was released in October 2023, earning radio play and positive reviews. 2024 has seen them headlining intimate shows in Glasgow and Renfrewshire and playing festival sets in between writing new material for their debut album, due to be released in 2025.
