Hawktail & Väsen and Córas Trio

The symphonic collaboration of Hawktail and Väsen is a much anticipated union of two very influential and like-minded instrumental folk groups, the result of which has yielded several successful tours as well as a new album currently receiving rave reviews.

Hawktail (USA) is Brittany Haas (fiddle), Paul Kowert (double bass) and Jordan Tice (guitar). In addtion to working withPunch Brothers, Crooked Still, Gillian Welch and their solo careers, the members of Hawktail convene to make their original instrumental music, characterized by its beating heart and touching melodies.

Väsen (Se) is Olov Johansson on nyckelharpa and Mikael Marin on viola. Their massively influential albums are filled with modern classics bursting with energy. For over 35 years they have been a huge influence on folk instrumentalists all over the world.
