Jane Austen and Netley Abbey - Monks, Marquess and Mystery!

This walk tells the stories of those associated with Netley abbey and its ruins, starting with the arrival of the Cistercians who built the abbey and taking the story through to the nineteenth centure with readings and poetry. Find out how the abbey fell into ruins that, with their mysteries, have been a favourite place for visitors since the 18th century, including Jane Austen!
