Jasper Hibys 3Elements

Denmarks Jasper Hiby, the founding member of Phronesis - one of the most acclaimed European bands of the last decade - returns to Watermill Jazz with his new piano trio3Elements.

With a melodic sound and visceral musical interplay, the band features a revolving line-up of some of Europes best young talent. 3Elements has so far resulted in two releases with Hiby as anchor one from the London scene featuring Noah StonemanandLuca Caruso and one from the Amsterdam scene featuring Chaerin ImfromSouth KoreaandJamie Peet.

Tonight's performance will feature the combined exceptional talents of Spanish pianist Xavi Torres and up-and-coming young UK talent Luke McCarthy on drums. Xavi is heavily active in the European scene, living between Barcelona and Amsterdam, while Luke is already a first-call gigging musician alongside finishing his studies at theRoyal Academy of Music.

Expect a fresh and dynamic approach to jazz from a band who blend intricate compositions with spontaneous improvisation.
