Talented emerging Scottish musician Lauren Collier, who is making a name for her virtuosity on the fiddle and captivating vocals, released her highly-anticipated debut album Uddevalla on Friday 15 December 2023.

An atmospheric mix of songs and instrumental tracks from around the world, Glasgow-based Lauren has taken inspiration from the music of multiple countries for her first record. The album takes listeners on a musical journey from Haiti, through Sweden and India, and onto Indonesia and Greece, all the while offering a unique blend of traditional and electronic music that is incredibly diverse, yet wholly cohesive.

Along with a talented band consisting of Calum Muir (Carla J Easton, Poster Paints) on guitars and synths, Paul Jennings (Old Blind Dogs, Croft No. 5, Shooglenifty, Wolfstone) on drums and percussion, James Lindsay (Breabach) on bass and moog and the inimitable Ross Ainslie (Treacherous Orchestra, Salsa Celtica, Dougie Maclean) on bansuri and whistles, Lauren has masterfully crafted a collection of tunes and songs that each portray a sense of place, emotion, and time.
