Lets Create NOT Apply: Friend of Frankenstein

Bringing hope that all comes out in the wash, a theatrical clown show of laundry and friendship. As part of Let’s Create NOT Apply, Alphabetti Theatre is hosting August Myfanwy and Shevek Imogen Fodor’s Friend of Frankenstein. Friend of Frankenstein follows two housemates just trying to get through the show. World-weary, pragmatic Iggy is up to their nose in laundry, concerned with making ends meet and keeping up with all the chores. Meanwhile head-in-the-clouds Frankie isn't concerned with anything so practical, but is in a perpetual personal battle to stave off boredom. Tensions in their relationship come to a head when Frankie makes a new friend (from scratch!). A long-form theatrical clown show, exploring themes of disability, solidarity and how to survive late stage capitalism with some sense of joy intact. Expect a fun, interactive 50 minutes of silliness that’ll send you on your way with a sense of hope and empowerment for enacting positive change in the world.
