Live Music Event - REBECCA CARSON & ANNE CHAURAND

This event is part of Sharmanka's programme of monthly live performances by local and international musicians, artists and performers.

The magical sounds of flute and classical guitar are brought to Sharmanka by this newly formed duo from the Solway shores and Galloway hills. After studying in London and playing with leading orchestras in England, Rebecca Carson returned to her native Scotland. She joined forces with French guitarist Anne Chaurand, who has been based in Scotland since the 1980s. Anne has had a long career mainly as a soloist, and performed as such in Sharmanka. Their eclectic duo programme is a celebration of French and Scottish music from various ages, and includes works arranged and composed by Anne, and by Eddie McGuire.

The music event will be followed by a mini performance of Sharmanka's kinetic artworks. There are a limited number of tickets to fill this intimate space, so if you want to be there, the soundest advice is to book early!
