The combination of guitar and string quartet offers so many possibilities for interesting repertoire. Virtuoso guitarist Ross Morris joins old friends the Resol String Quartet in a programme ranging from charming classical Boccherini, through romantic Italian music to a showpiece by guitarist Sergio Assad and concluding with a work by contemporary American Composer Aaron Jay Kernis whose music has been described combining ‘neo-romantic intensity with exuberant imagination’!
