Mauro Sigura Electric Quartet : Dunia

Winners of the 2024 international 7Virtual Jazz prize for Best Group, Mauro Sigura’s Electric Quartet have a unique and beautiful sound based around the band leader’s oud.

Blending Mediterranean-style melodies, the oud, bold guitar, tight bass lines and infinite invention on the drums, this Italian band is not to be missed.

You can expect a unique sound which takes the oud into an electric context, with sounds from jazz to fusion, to Middle Eastern music, to rock and to psychedelic music.
