Detaljer
Blending the raw beauty of the Highlands with echoes of his African roots, Edinburgh-based alternative-indie-folk artist Moteh Parrott crafts music that is as expansive as the landscapes that shaped him. Born in Cameroon to parents working in rainforest conservation, he was given the local name Mnkongmoteh—a heritage that subtly weaves its way into his soulful storytelling.
His sound pairs Celtic-infused guitar and rich cello arrangements with lyrics that speak of hope and renewal, drawing comparisons to "a Highland wilderness with all the sweeping colour and spirit which that encompasses." A BBC Radio Scotland Singer-Songwriter of the Year finalist, Moteh is now touring in support of his debut album, recorded at the legendary CHEM19 studios with PAUL SAVAGE—producer to Mogwai, Arab Strap, and King Creosote.
