Northern Resonance with Chloë Bryce, Megan MacDonald & Calum McIlroy

Swedish string trio, Northern Resonance join forces with Scottish folk outfit, Chloë Bryce, Megan MacDonald & Calum McIlroy for this double-header Glasgow show at The Poetry Club on Tuesday 12 November 2024.

Swedish Grammy Nominated trio Northern Resonance is the Scandinavian string trio that pushes the boundaries of Nordic folk music. With a close interplay that is rare to come across, the trio moves effortlessly outside the soundscape of the tradition but moves just as easily within it with their previously untested combination of instruments; Viola d’amore, Hardanger Fiddle and Nyckelharpa.

Chloë Bryce, Megan MacDonald & Calum McIlroy, winners of Battle of the Folk Bands 2024, are a folk trio based in Glasgow. Hailing from Lairg, Tain, and Aberdeenshire respectively, they blend fiddle, accordion, guitar, and their voices to present an array of dynamic tunes and delicate songs.
