Eddie Kingdom's drumming journey began at the age of 10, and his passion for jazz took flight when he pursued a BA Hons in Jazz Drumming at Middlesex University. Throughout his studies, Eddie had the opportunity to work alongside talented musicians such as Nikki Isles, Chris Bachelor, Stewart Hall, Rob Townsend, Dave Ohm, and Rick Finlay, shaping his unique sound and approach to jazz. Eddie is a regular performer with Eat The Rich, a standout group on the Devon music circuit. A pivotal moment in his development came through sessions with renowned Trinity Laban jazz drummer Tristan Maillot, which reignited his deep passion for the genre. Following this, Eddie was invited to play alongside South West jazz icons like Pete Canter, Will Paley, Ian Rankin, and esteemed groups such as the Exeter Jazz Orchestra, Blendology Big Band, Al Lloyd Big Band, and Moon Jazz. A strong advocate for the local scene, Eddie is also the founder of the emerging Cottles Jazz Club in Okehampton, providing a platform for the growth of jazz in the region. His diverse collaborations and commitment to the art form continue to make him a vital presence in the South West jazz community.
