SAND, SILT, FLINT - Ancient Stories, New Songs

Join musician and singer Fiona Soe Paing at Forglen Hall for an evocative evening of live music and film, inspired by the folklore, ballads and landscapes of North-East Scotland. Featuring songs from her acclaimed album Sand, Silt, Flint - praised as “a sublimely powerful and lingering experience” by Songlines Magazine, and rated with Four Stars in The Guardian's folk column, the performance brings ancient tales to life, with stunning visuals by Isla Goldie. With support from The Fonsecas, performing Doric and Northeast songs with an upbeat slant, this magical evening pays homage to the region’s stories, places and songs, with a contemporary twist on tradition.
