Sangeeta Nritya Utsav'day1 - Sitar By Smt. Punita Gupta

The Bhavan is proud to present a two-weekend Classical Music & Dance festival. This year, we bring you the best of both South Indian and North Indian Music traditions.

The line -up includes:

Sat 22 March - Sitar by Punita Gupta along with her students Sun 23 March - Veena by Vidwan Balakrishna Sat 29 March - Karnatic Vocal by Sri Kalayanapuram S Aravind

Punita Gupta a senior disciple of Bharat Ratna Ravi Shankar has devoted her life to create the next generation of sitar players. Some of her students will perform along with her. She will be accompanied by Vidwan Sri. M Balachandran on Mridangham and Hevylen Shenan on Tabla. Special guest artists like Talvin Singh on Tabla and Rikhil Rai on Flute will also perform.

Complimentary refreshments will be served in the canteen between 5 pm -5.45 pm
