Off the back of the release of his new album 'Disneyland In Dagenham' and two sold out London shows this year, Scott Lavene announces an intimate show at The Betsey Trotwood. Small venue. Big banter. A born storyteller, through his records and his writing Scott Lavene has long been populating a hallucinogenic world of his own creation with neer do wells, ragamuffins and eccentrics. From a man draining the blood of property agents in the aid of local businesses to a talking horse who travels Europe selling hash, gambling and performing covers of Talking Heads, Disneyland In Dagenham is no exception. Its a record that tumbles together the autobiographical and the imagined, the heart-breaking and the preposterous. Earlier in the year he was invited by The Hold Steadys frontman Craig Finn to tour with him once more, a friendship that has seen Lavene open for The Hold Steady recently in London and New York.
