Steam into Spring

New for 2025, join us each Sunday in March as we Steam into Spring at Avon Valley Railway. As the days start to get longer, enjoy a steam-hauled ride up and down our classic line and take in the scenic views as life starts to return to the Avon Valley.

Ride in our brake van!

Available alongside regular seating in our carriages, we invite you to upgrade your ticket for only £4.00 extra to experience an exclusive ride on our brake van!

Riding up and down the line in our brake van, you have the opportunity to enjoy scenic views from the veranda, stay warm with a cosy log-burning fire inside, and enjoy a hot drink of your choosing to accompany your journey. Visiting with a group of 6? You can enjoy exclusive hire of the brake van for your journey, with the cheapest ticket free!

Ticket Information

Under 5s are not advised to travel on the brake van due to safety restrictions.

Wheelchair Users and those with Access needs should contact the railway Booking Office on 0117 932 5538 to purchase tickets.

On booking you will receive a booking confirmation. Please show this at the booking office on the day to exchange for your train tickets. We advise you arrive 15/20 minutes prior to departure.

Online ticket sales close 2 hours before departure. Tickets can still be purchased at the Booking Office prior to departure.
