The Joy Formidable

The Joy Formidable is a Welsh alternative rock band, formed in 2007 in North Wales and currently based in London, England. The band consists of Rhiannon "Ritzy" Bryan (lead vocals, guitar), Rhydian Dafydd (bass, vocals) and Matthew James Thomas (drums, percussion).

The Joy Formidable have never been one to shy away from a challenge. Proving that time and again by holding their own as support for legendary artists and acts from Sir Paul McCartney to The Foo Fighters and The Black Keys.

Once described by Rolling Stone as “wickedly bracing and Himalaya-huge;” the fantastic live band has mastered the challenge of ensuring their onstage energy and ability to connect with audiences translated via recording.
