The JP Big Band are back with another charity concert in aid of Cystic Fibrosis! It’s been a couple of years since the band did their last charity concert and now they are back with a evening celebrating the music of George Gershwin. In past years the band have been lucky enough to be joined on stage with local choirs, Cantatrice and Vocal Fusion Acapella, along with trombone legend Mark Bassey. This year the band have gone even further and are joined by Paul Newton on trumpet, Pete Cater on drum, Andy Panayi on alto sax, The Southcoast Jazz Trombone Ensemble and taking a night off from her leading role in Les Miserables, West end star Ellie Ann Low on vocals. As Mentioned before, all of this is put together to raise money and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis. To date the band have raised over five thousand pounds for the charity and all the profits from this next concert will be going to the charity as well.
