Detaljer

"A supporter of artists & champion of good music for nearly four decades, the legendary Jumpin Hot Club based around Newcastle Upon Tyne is taking a live musical revue on tour of our favourite performers, to celebrate its forthcoming 40th year anniversary.

The music revue show will feature Martin Stephenson duo (with Rupert Hughes- Often Herd) , Errant Moose (bluegrass duo) & Shipcote.

Martin Stephenson, has been playing the JHot club since it first opened its doors. The local singer-songwriter based in the Highlands was recently featured on Billy Connolly's BBC documentary, as Billy is a huge fan. Martin's songs are a glorious mix of the music we love: folk, country, jazz & heartfelt pop His live performances are an exuberant tour-de-force combining heart-in-your-mouth intimacy with playful humour and warm self-deprecation. He will be accompanied by Rupert Hughes , the highly acclaimed guitarist with bluegrass band The Often Herd

Errant Moose are Phillipa & Phoebe. A relatively new & exciting acoustic duo (fiddle/guitar) They are old time & bluegrass enthusiasts from the two Shields (North & South) & it's the new bluegrass sound of Newcastle.

And finally Shipcote is the songwriter in Shipcote & Friends. He writes quirky heartfelt songs, perhaps one of the region's oft- most overlooked artists .

He is the co-founder of The Jumpin Hot Club & is the author of the widely acclaimed Jumpin Hot Club - Where Good Music Belongs book.
