The Late Mrs Early by Norman Robbins is a light comedy set in the mid 1970s, in Castleford, Yorkshire. Alice Early rules the roost in the Early family terraced house and everyone including the neighbours know this. Alice is horrified when her son Terry announces he is planning to get engaged to Susan, a girl from a local family, the Rickworths, well known to Alice in her younger days. Sparks literally fly when Terry refuses to break off his engagement but Alice is determined to stop the wedding at all costs… Join us as we travel back to 1970s Yorkshire for this lively battle of wits and supremacy between strong, lively characters !
