The Lives of Bosie by John Wolfson directed by Selwyn Tillett 5 - 7 December 7.30pm. Matinee 7 December 2.30pm

"For a man to be properly understood in his lifetime is outside the realm of human possibility"

"Bosie" - Lord Alfred Douglas - was Oscar Wilde's young lover. His role in Oscar's downfall is part of the legend. But what happened to him after the court cases were a memory and Oscar was dead? Does anyone remember - or care?

It's 1945 and Lord Alfred is dying.. For fifty years he's made himself a public figure through editorship of several papers, numerous headline=catching court actions and a complete denunciation of Oscar. Now confronted by his younger self, they argue, criticise and unpick each other's life and reputation. It's a painful but darkly humorous analysis, based entirely on fact. Will people remember him in his own right - or only as Bosie for ever? Its 2005 production in Philadelphia won Bosie the Barrymore Award for Outstanding New Play. Contains adult themes
