The Prince and the Knave

A wayward Prince, his dissolute companion, and a kingdom in peril. In the story of Prince Hal and Falstaff, drawn from Shakespeare's Henry IV plays, comedy and pathos combine to tell a tale of mischief and scandal, divided loyalties and the call of destiny. Shakespeare Live, a charity run entirely by volunteers, has a great reputation, gained over more than 30 years in Wiltshire and beyond, for creative and entertaining productions. Their autumn tour is always a chance to experiment with the plays, and this year's The Prince and the Knave combines sections from two Shakespearean histories, linked by the bumptious Falstaff, in 90 minutes of lively action.
