The Seagull Youth Theatre presents The Tempest Shakespeares tale on the redemptive power of love and forgiveness. We are such stuff as dreams are made on. When Duke Prospero becomes obsessed with his magical studies, it allows his corrupt brother the opportunity to take power. The usurped Duke Prospero flees and eventually seeks refuge, with his infant daughter, on the brutal Arctic landscape where the monstrous Caliban and the magical Ariel dwell. Years later, Prospero seizes the opportunity to seek revenge when a ship holding his brother sails within his reach. The Seagulls Youth Theatre present Shakespeares last play in a new production that will entertain even the most ardent Shakespeare haters.
