Uphill Game

Absolute cracking contemporary jazz quartet led by double-bassist Riaan Vosloo, and featuring the superb drummer Matt Brown (check out his amazing new band 6161) plus the legendary horn section of Jake McMurchie on saxophone and Pete Judge on flugelhorn. Riaan's choice of tunes, including his own beguiling originals, is always a delight and a surprise, and the band's obvious synergy belies their infrequent get-togethers.
