Victorian Baking at Cragside House

Enjoy the comforting smell of home baking as you walk into the House as Cragside’s volunteers whip up cakes and bakes. Stop by the kitchen on the ground floor where volunteer cooks in costume will be experimenting with authentic Victorian recipes and traditional treats. You can ask questions about how they’re baking on the huge range and discover more about what life in the kitchen was like for the servants that carried out daily chores and cooked meals for the Armstrongs and their guests.

This event takes place every Wednesday, 1-4pm until 7 September.
