Warm Welcome Crafting: Book Binding

Learn the fundamentals of bookbinding and create your own hardback notebook with traditional bookbinding techniques and materials. You will select different colours and weights of paper for the inserts, then construct the cover from boards, bookcloth, and papers, assembling them to create your unique notebook.

Bookbinding is an environmentally friendly method of making a notebook. Making it by hand eliminates the need for a polluting factory and allows for the use of only the necessary materials. Scraps can be used to create smaller, more unique books, bookmarks, and other papercrafts.

Suitable for beginners and those with experience. 16+.

The session is free, but make sure to sign up at Blairgowrie Library in advance as spaces are limited.
