Waste to Wonder – Free Half Term Workshops at Selby Abbey!

Join Now Then! for Waste to Wonder – a free day of creative workshops for all ages at Selby Abbey!

A collaboration between Our Zero Selby (delivered by Up For Yorkshire) and Now Then! that kicks off a new project which will see an artist based in the Abbey - plus, help them name their project!

Create with Found Objects: Artist Tony Wade will guide you in making art using autumn leaves and rubbings from the Abbey. Take your creations home and add to a collaborative map showing Selby’s important green spaces.

Share Stories About Nature: Writer Angela Bridge will help you write and share stories about climate and nature. Write your thoughts on leaves and be part of a collective story.

Become a craftivist with Our Zero Selby: Design and sew your own cross-stitch heart which becomes a broach or badge! Show your support for nature with this fun, hands-on activity. All materials provided. If sewing isn't for you, there will be textile pens too!
