Stratford Youth Theatre proudly presents the Sally Cookson’s powerful stage adaptation of A Monster Calls.

Based on the novel by Patrick Ness and inspired by an original idea by Siobhan Dowd, devised by Sally Cookson, Adam Peck and the Company. A Monster Calls follows Conor, a young boy struggling with his mother’s illness and his own nightmares. Conor’s life has become a whirlwind of grief, uncertainty, and nightly visits from an ancient, elemental force—a Monster that demands the most dangerous thing of all: the truth.
