Details

Tennessee Williams’ masterpiece tells the tale of former Southern Belle, Blanche, as she flees creditors to seek refuge with her sister Stella and her husband, Stanley.

Unable to cope with life's harsh realities, and challenged by Stanley’s masculine personality, Blanche cannot face the truth of her past and ultimately descends into madness. This play (famously remade into an award-winning film starring Marlon Brando and Vivien Leigh) is regarded as one of the most important plays of the twentieth century.

This amateur production of “A Streetcar Named Desire” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd. www.concordtheatricals.co.uk
