About the band: The String Section are a toe-tappin’ trio from Cambridge who blend violin, mandolin, guitar and vocals in a genuinely trans-Atlantic style. Regulars on the acoustic scene, their virtuosity on their respective instruments is infectious. The trio play a lively mix of traditional, modern and self-penned fiddle tunes, folk, country, blues and Americana. They performed at the 2019 Cambridge Folk Festival, the 2021 Ely Folk Festival and have been featured on BBC radio and Cambridge 105.
